Online registrations are now open and close on Friday 17th July at 6pm.

Friday 17th July - The Nicholson Hotel in Nicholson, from 10 am to 7:00 pm.

Saturday 18th July - The Nicho Store in Nicholson, from 6 am to 9 am

 

** Note only one location is open in 2026 for registration and check-in.

The countdown is on for one of Victoria's most anticipated recreational fishing events, with the Twin Rivers Bream Classic returning from 17–19 July for another exciting weekend of competition, community and family fun. Supported once again by the East Gippsland Shire Council, the annual catch-and-release tournament will attract anglers from across Victoria and interstate to test their skills on the region's renowned waterways while 'premier fishing places.

Fishing Times

Friday 17th July from 6:00 pm till Sunday 19th July with the last Track My Fish submission at 11:30 am.

Major Prize Draw

1st prize – Aquamaster boat & Yamaha engine, sponsored by Gippsland RV & Marine. Value $25,000

Fishing Category Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

 

1. King or Queen of Bream 2026, open to all anglers, for the longest string of Bream (5 fish caught over weekend fishing times)

2. Longest Bream

  • Senior female anglers

  • Senior male anglers

  • Junior (12 years and under) anglers

3. Longest Bream - Runner Up

  • Senior female anglers

  • Senior male anglers

  • Junior (12 years and under) anglers

4. Standard Teams*: Longest 'String' of four bream caught by teams of up to 4 four members. 

*Family teams not eligible for Standard Team prize.

 

5. Family Teams: Longest 'String' of four bream caught by a family of up to five members.

6. Top 10 longest bream caught by all senior anglers go into the draw for a Hobie kayak

7. Top 10 longest bream caught by all junior anglers go into the draw for a Hobie kayak

8.. Secret fish draw prizes will be awarded across all the entries.

CATCH & RELEASE  BREAM Only 

Log your fish through Track My Fish for Tournaments mobile app.

There will be no physical weigh-in stations. All fish are to be photographed on a brag mat (supplied by the Competition) and submitted through Track My Fish.
