The BTA was originally formed by the businesses of Nicholson in 1996.
Amongst the first projects, was the establishment of a regular fishing comp called the Bream Classic. This event has become the major project of the BTA and draws ever increasing numbers of entries.
After about 2 years Johnsonville and Swan Reach showed interest in joining us, and the Twin Rivers Business & Tourism Assoc was born.
The TRBTA is the envy of many other larger towns, with over 25 members. Meetings regularly have a high attendance, we are always pleased to welcome new members from both the business and tourism sector.
Many members also support council initiatives, and hold some executive positions,sometimes our members have the largest representation of all the BTAs in the region at these workshops, and seminars etc. Membership is open to all businesses, organisations and individuals with an interest in local tourism.
